ADVANCED MUSICAL THEATRE TROUPE TRAINING PROGRAMS Bravo Academy offers two advanced music theatre training programs designed for students who wish to learn and develop the skills required to perform music theatre in a professional setting.  Students will work alongside other students who share the same interest and love for the performing arts.  Each year students will have the opportunity to perform in two full main stage musical productions lead by a faculty and creative team of seasoned professionals.  UPCOMING AUDITIONS Youth and Teen Advanced Music Theatre Troupe 2012/13 Dates: TBA Please contact Bravo Academy to be placed on a notification list when the 2012/13 Audition Dates become available.  Note: All current students must re-audition if they would like to be considered for the 2012/13 season. AUDITION REQUIREMENTS Items must be memorized.  An accompanist will be provided and students must provide their own sheet music. Youth (10-13yrs) 1 Music Theatre Piece (age appropriate) 1 Monologue (30 seconds or under in any style) Teen (13-21yrs) 2 Music Theatre Pieces 16-32 bars and contrasting 1 Monologue (1min or under in any style) Please contact Bravo Academyto be placed on a notification list. Note: Audition times fill very quickly and there are a limited amount of audition times available Youth Music Theatre Troupe (10-13yrs) An advanced youth music theatre training program designed to build students skills in singing, acting and dance.  Each year students will work towards performing in two full length main stage musical production.  Admission is based on audition only.  Students do not require past music theatre experience to audition.  Past productions have included Cinderella G2K, Thoroughly Modern Mille Jr., Willy Wonka Jr., Once Upon a Mattress and Seussical Jr. Please visit our photo gallery to view pictures from our past productions. Day: Tuesdays (Full Year Program) Time: 5:30-7:00 pm Fee: $900 (divided into 2 payments of $450) Fee Includes: HST, Costumes and Show Production Fees   Students accepted into this program must be committed and willing to practice regularly.  Homework will be assigned where students may be required to memorize lines, work on choreography, staging or music.  As well, additional rehearsals will be booked in addition to Tuesday class times with advance notice for costume fittings, extra rehearsals and technical and dress rehearsals at the theatre. Teen Musical Theatre Group (13-21yrs) Bravo Academy’s professional music theatre troupe training program is designed to enrich and develop a student’s music theatre skills.  Classes are run in a professional setting.  Students accepted into the program will have the opportunity to perform in two full length Broadway musicals per year.  Admission to the Troupe is via audition only. Past productions have included 13, The Drowsy Chaperone, Les Misérables, Oklahoma, Little Women the Broadway Musical, Bye Bye Birdie, Grease and Anne of Green Gables. Day: Tuesdays (Full Year) Time: 7:15-9:15 pm (Students must be available until 10:15pm) Fee: $1100 (divided into 2 payments of $550) Fee Includes: HST, Costumes and Show Production Fees   *Note: The program is full year, however we may make exceptions and students may be able to participate in only one production in the year.  An additional $75 fee is charged for students taking part in only one term.  Please notify our admin team when booking your audition if you are only available for one term.
