"CAMP!" A New Musical
Nova and August have been best friends since their first summer at Camp Clover when they were nine, but something has snapped within their friendship between the end of camp last year and the beginning of camp this year. Now, as seventeen year olds, they are not speaking and, worse, they seem to have it out for each other. Through games of capture the flag, bonfires and the end of summer dance, we learn about how friendships come to be and what happens when they grow apart.

Margot Greve – Artistic Director
Margot Greve is a three time Dora nominated director, book writer and performer. She is the leader of Mixtape Projects, a music and movement theatre company that creates unapologetically fun works of theatre in the city of Toronto. She has written and directed projects for the New Voices Festival, the Next Stage Festival, the Next Stage Audio Series, the Watershed Festival, the Hamilton Fringe and the Toronto Fringe, as well as independent productions through Mixtape Projects, Fever International, Panoply Collective, Tweed and Company, the Uncommon Folk Collective, Send Noods Productions and Hungover Cabaret. While writing and directing are her primary practices, she also works as a movement director and arts educator for projects in the Greater Toronto Area.
Ben Kopp – Creative Associate and Music Director
Ben Kopp is a Dora award winning actor musician and a Dora nominated composer originally from London, Ontario. He is a 2019 graduate of the Toronto Metropolitan University BFA Acting program and a graduating member of the 2024 Soulpepper Academy. While Ben’s primary practice is as a composer and lyricist, he is also a multi-instrumentalist and frequently takes on roles as an actor/musician.

Mixtape Projects is run by Dora Nominated creative duo Ben Kopp and Margot Greve whose latest production “Iris (says goodbye)” won Patron’s Pick and Best of Fringe and was named one of the Globe and Mail’s 10 Best Theatre of 2025.
CAMP! is an ensemble musical comedy, which follows a group of teens as they attend their favourite sleep away summer camp.

WHO WE ARE SEEKING:
We are looking for young people aged 13-19 of all gender identities and backgrounds who are strong singers and quick music learners to play a variety of roles in our upcoming Toronto Fringe Production, CAMP!. This production will feature an entire ensemble of young people.
AUDITION REQUIREMENTS:
Please submit a self-tape which features a maximum 2 minute cut of a contemporary musical theatre song which best displays your vocal range and personality. We are looking for strong actors, so please select a cut that demonstrates your storytelling abilities! Self-tapes are due February 17th at midnight and can be emailed to margotgreve@mixtapeprojects.com Please include your age in the body of your email.
Callbacks will take place February 27th, 5pm to 10pm at Bravo Academy in North York. If selected for a callback you will be asked to learn two short music excerpts from the show as well as some sides which you will perform with a reader.
