Biography
Born and raised in Toronto, Andrew Lowe (he/him) is a dedicated musician and teacher, bringing his energy and experience onto the stage and into the studio. As a graduate of the Jazz Voice Performance program at the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Music, and having been inspired by a wide range of musical influences, he is passionate about providing a well-rounded and engaging approach for students interested in learning and studying various genres and styles of music.
As a musician, known for singing and arranging in a variety of musical styles, his crooner voice and a remarkable energy onstage, Andrew performs regularly in concerts and recitals all around Toronto with many vocal ensembles, and he primarily performs as a solo jazz vocalist. He loves to write and arrange his own music, drawing from a variety of different musical genres, including jazz, funk, musical theatre, and even video games.
As a music director, Andrew has had the pleasure of working with many amateur and young professional musicians and artists in Toronto. His past work includes leading Surround Sound, one of UofT’s premier a cappella ensembles, to the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella 2024 quarterfinals in Waterloo, and directing his own arrangements with the Faculty of Music’s Vocal Jazz Ensemble in both 2024 and 2025. Earlier this year, Andrew was the music director for Connections the Musical at the Theatre Centre in September.
In the studio, Andrew is energetic and driven, committed to helping his students learn the music that they love, and always encouraging them to work hard and bring out the best in their music. As a former member of the Studio and Teen Troupes, he is thrilled to be back at Bravo Academy and work with a new generation of wonderful students!
