Sample TEEN schedule
Week 1:
Meet your instructors, and your new friends! In your first musical theatre class, you’ll kick-off with warm-up activities and drama games as you develop foundational theatre skills and learn how to work together as an ensemble.
Weeks 2-4:
You’ll continue to develop acting, improvisation, music, and movement skills through theatre games and activities.
You’ll also develop your performance skills while rehearsing for your final showcase performance. Beyond singing, acting, and dancing, you will learn how to collaborate as a member of an ensemble through selected songs and scenes from popular musicals.
Weeks 4-8:
As rehearsals progress you’ll begin polishing scenes and musical numbers while building story and character arcs.
Week 9: Dress Rehearsal
You’ll try on any costume elements and practice your final musical theatre performance one last time before your showcase performance.
Week 10: Performance
It’s show time! You’ll step into the spotlight in our state-of-the-art Zlotnik Studio Theatre and show your friends and family what you’ve learned. Your loved ones will be humming along to an ensemble performance featuring songs and scenes from popular musicals.
