Role at Bravo Academy
Tammy Whetham’s love and passion for storytelling has taken her down many avenues as a singer, actor, dancer, voice-artist, director, and educator. Tammy holds an Honours Bachelor of Music in voice from Wilfrid Laurier University. She attended the Banff Professional Musical Theatre Training Intensive (2012 & 2013) and the NYU Steinhardt: Summer Study in Musical Theatre (2009).
Select performance highlights include Jack and the Beanstalk and Alice in Wonderland with Diversified Theatre, the New Sunshine Festival’s Wild Blue Yonder, travelling across the globe at sea with Japan Cruise Line, and performing as Miss Tammy Darling in her 50s and 60s show Rock the Bop. As a member of the music ensemble Arcady, Tammy performs regularly under the direction of composer/conductor Ronald Beckett. Tammy has had the pleasure of directing two of Arcady’s staged productions and has appeared in and produced two of Arcady’s Christmas music videos.
Tammy has studied voice pedagogy with Jeanie LoVetri through Somatic Voicework℠ The LoVetri Method (2012) from the CCM Vocal Pedagogy Institute at Shenandoah University. She has also studied voice pedagogy with Dr. Brian Gill at the NYU Summer Vocal Pedagogy Intensive (2015).
As an adjudicator and juror, Tammy has worked for Merriam Music Festival, Ontario Arts Council, Cambridge Mayor’s Celebration of the Arts, Kiwanis Music Festival, and NATS.
